Shuswap Band’s 2017 Summer Program was an EXTREME success again! Two Shuswap youth, Trinda Cote and Wallace Warbrick assisted Morgan Floesser, Shuswap Band’s Community Support Worker and Communications Coordinator in organizing and running the Summer Program this year. This program ran on Tues, Wed, Thurs from July 11th to August 17th and each Thursday there was a cultural component to the Summer Program.
Some of the FUN activities from this year: Nature Walk/Hunt by Eagle Ranch, Cultural Day at the Stevens’ House, Fairmont Hot Springs and Bouncy Castles, made Medicine Pouches, Ozzie’s Amusement Park Mini Golfing and Windermere Beach, Fish Hatchery, Winderberry Nursery, Setetkwa Golf Course, Lake Enid, Pine Needle Baskets, Paddle Boarding with Adventure Paddle School, Loom Beading, Ziplining with Valley Zipline Adventures, Professional Cakes with Fun Cakes by Diane, and of course…CALAWAY PARK!
Thank you all for another great Summer Program and we look forward to having you again in 2018! If you can think of something that we should do next year, please contact Morgan Floesser with your recommendations.
